I went for a boat trip around some of the Whitsundays for the first time in my life. Yes I'm pretty much a born and bred local and I've never being on a sailing boat! In fact, until last weekend I hadn't even slept overnight on a boat.

This is the cliff some coral underneath the water on Sunday morning at Mackerel bay, I think it was. The water was so calm on Sunday morning and around that time it was like glass, almost perfectly see through. I was in a little tiny boat (with my huge expensive camera mind you!!) so I had to work around the water.

It was amazing and it helped me to realise how beautiful the Whitsundays are - when you live here you're not worrying about how gorgeously blue the water is and you never slow down to admire the view.

Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays is actually a very beautiful place to live
